The pair are good friends, with DiCaprio, 47, attending Sir Philip’s 60th birthday party in Mexico, where stars Kate Hudson, Naomi Campbell, Gwyneth Paltrow, Ronnie Wood and Kate Moss were also in attendance at the £6million, four-day bash in March 2012.

The tycoon was last seen two days ago on his yacht off Antibes – a popular hub for celebrities at this time of the year thanks to the Cannes Film Festival – but before that has not been pictured in public for months.

Leo has also been keeping a low profile of late, taking a break from movie sets to enjoy time at his Malibu home with girlfriend Camila.
