Lindsay had stepped away from the spotlight in recent years to pursue more entrepreneurial ventures overseas after making a home for herself in Dubai.
‘Moving here was a fresh start. You hear more about real current events rather than celebrity gossip, which I really appreciate,’ she told Emirates Woman.
However, she had slowly been trying to make her way back to Hollywood and re-enter into acting and music, penning an electronic song called ‘Back to Me.’

Just two months before the pandemic hit last March, she announced plans to move back to the United States.
‘I want to really focus on me and everything that I can do in my life and come back to America and start filming again, which I’m doing some time soon in this new year,’ she told Anderson Cooper in virtual conversation at the 2020 ball drop.
‘And, you know, just taking back the life I’ve worked so hard for and sharing it with my family and you guys,’ she added.
Despite the setback, Variety reported on May 24 that Lindsay would in-fact be returning to acting with a holiday-themed romantic comedy on Netflix.
Though many details are underwraps, she will reportedly star as a ‘newly engaged, spoiled hotel heiress’ who gets amnesia following a skiing accident and ‘finds herself in the care of a handsome, blue-collar lodge owner and his precocious daughter in the days leading up to Christmas,’ according to the publication.
