The moment mirrored the time MGK incurred a similar face injury back in June, when he smashed a champagne flute on his head during an after-show performance.

While on stage at the afterparty, MGK shouted ‘I don’t give a s**t’ before smashing a glass against his face.

Incident: Kelly reflected on why he smashed a champagne flute on his head during his afterparty as he said he was trying to ‘clink’ the glass

Reflecting on the shocking incident, which saw him leave the venue covered in blood with a cut above his eye, MGK admitted that he ‘feels like s**t’.

Appearing on Late Night, a small cut could visibly be seen above MGK’s eyebrow as he chatted with host Seth Meyers.

MGK told comedian Seth, 48, that he had been trying to ‘clink’ the champagne flute to make a toast but didn’t have a fork to make the customary gesture so decided to smash the glass into his head to grab attention instead.

‘You know when you clink a champagne glass with a fork to kind of [get people’s attention]? Yeah, well, I didn’t have a fork, so I just clinked it on my head,’ he said, according to ETOnline.

Injured: The star 32, was on stage at an afterparty with his celebrity pals, when he took to the stage, shouted ‘I don’t give a s**t’ and smashed a glass against his face (injury pictured)

Seth jokingly replied: ‘You know, in medicine, that call that “asking for it”.’

And MGK agreed, quipping: ‘Yeah, so I had a serious case of that last night.’

Despite saying he felt ‘like s**t’, MGK seemed to be in generally good spirits as he appeared on the chat show and flashed a huge smile while stepping out.

The rapper cut a vibrant figure in grey sparkling trousers, black lace-up boots and a pink satin shirt, which he wore open to give a flash of his tattooed figure.

He sported his signature pink curled locks and accessorised his look with a silver necklace and an array of glitzy rings.

Recovering: Reflecting on the shocking incident, which saw him leave the venue covered in blood with a cut above his eye, MGK admitted that he ‘feels like s**t’

In June, he was seen leaving the afterparty alongside his fiancé Megan Fox as he was covered in blood after smashing the champagne flute over his head.

He had taken to the stage during the afterparty to treat guests to a performance when he suddenly shouted ‘I don’t give a s**t’ and smashed the glass into his face.

But MGK appeared unfazed by his bleeding face and kept performing, moving on to the next track [My Ex’s Best Friend] while members of the crowd passed him tissues to suppress the bleeding.

Following the event, the star left the venue covered in blood and held hands with his supportive partner Megan as she walked close behind him before heading home after the bash.

MGK’s sheer pink top was also stained with blood, as well as his neck and hands.

His partner Megan, 36, had slipped on his colourful coat and was attempting to mask her face with the garment as she left with her blood-covered beau.

Despite his appearance, the rocker didn’t appear disheartened as she flashed a smile for the cameras as he exited the party. MailOnline have contacted MGK’s representative’s for comment.

Guests at the afterparty including Avril Lavigne and her fiancée Mod Sun, after she acted as MGK’s support on the opening night of the concert.

Their appearance came just hours after MGK took the stage at Madison Square Garden as part of his Mainstream Sellout Tour. Avril Lavigne and Willow Smith served as opening acts for the star.
