Married at First Sight’s Lara Eyre finally admits who her famous Hollywood ex is

Married At First Sight UK star Lara Eyre stunned fans at home with her dating history, after she revealed in a recent Instagram Q&A that she had once dated a Hollywood star.

The 49 year old waitress, who appeared on the latest series of the E4 dating show and married Richie Dews, revealed that her celebrity ex was none other than Charlie Hunnam.

As fans at home asked their questions to the couple, one commenter boldly asked: “Who’s your most famous ex?”

Lara sheepishly then confessed: “I may have dated someone from Sons of Anarchy” in response to the question.

Immediately, the internet was abuzz with speculation as many fans tried to identify which cast member Lara could have dated.

Initially, the mum-of-two remained silent about the Hollywood A-lister's identity, but finally dished the dirt during an interview with The Sun.

The former model and professional dancer admitted: “It’s Charlie Hunnam. I dated Charlie Hunnam for a while, he was lovely and I’ve always had a soft spot for him.”

Lara then revealed she had initially met the star after being friends with Coronation Street actor Antony Cotton, who happily introduced the pair.

“He was a bit younger than me and it started after he finished filming the first season Queer As Folk, and we were kind of seeing each other as the second one started,” she told the publication.

“We split up for a while and then we got back together. I lived in Tokyo and Thailand and he was in America, so we met up a few times in New York and LA.”

Lara admitted they had since “lost touch” as they both parted ways, with Charlie going on to find love with jewellery designer Morgana McNelis who he had dated since 2007.

Originally starring in the Channel 4 hit Queer As Folk, Charlie later went on to feature in many Hollywood Blockbusters including Guillermo Del Toro’s Pacific Rim, and Guy Ritchie flick King Arthur: Legend of the Sword.

The star, who is seven years younger than Lara, is drastically different to her husband on MAFS, Richie, who himself admitted he had never been in love, prior to appearing on the dating show.

Although the couple got off to a rocky start, there did appear to be some attempt to keep the relationship going, although it is currently unknown whether Richie and Lara’s relationship has survived post-show.
