Martin Roberts, 56, previously shared his fury on Twitter over a DIY issue he couldn’t get his head around. But after managing to eventually suss it out, he ended up saving the day by providing his solution with a fan who was also having the same trouble.

It was a head-mess!

Following the rage-fuelled video of the presenter attempting to fix a toilet, his followers watched intently as he tried to figure out what element was the issue.

It turns out he fixed it off-camera, but someone was eager to find out the solution after experiencing a similar difficulty themselves.

“Morning Martin. Did you sort that wc syphon flush thing out?” they asked.

“Mine is sticking. Any advice before I take the top off.”

The helpful property expert was quick to reply and share his newly adopted expertise.

“Yes in the end, but it was a head-mess!” he admitted.

“WD40 applied liberally, try that first!”

Martin had posted his pain in a dramatic video on his social media channels, apologising for his upcoming rant: “I’m having toilet trouble and need to vent some steam…”

“I apologise in advance because this is probably the most boring video you’ve seen all day,” he told his followers.

“But I have to share my pain!”

The Homes Under The Hammer star went on to explain what he was trying to do, showing viewers the situation inside the back of the toilet.

“This is a vaguely modernised one and when you push this plastic, the toilet flushes,” he said, demonstrating as he went.

But he soon revealed what had left him puzzled.

Holding the outer flush, he looked totally baffled as he flung his head back.

Martin screeched: “There are so many variables it’s unbelievable!”

“You can set the height of this, you can set the height of that, the thing I’ve just discovered comes apart…

“And there’s another set of adjustments over here!”

He moaned: “Why are there so many adjustments?!”

The presenter paused as he took a few deep breaths: “And breathe…” he sighed before concluding his video.

After he shared the panicked footage to his page, fans rushed to the comments section to try and help him out, sharing tips and teasing the 56-year-old with some light-hearted jokes.
