Machine Gun Kelly got down on one knee and asked his girlfriend of a year-and-a-half, Megan Fox, to marry him on Tuesday, January 11.
And instead of sticking to tradition, the 31-year-old musician proposed to the 35-year-old actress with ‘two’ engagement rings featuring their April and May birthstones.
Sharing an up-close video of the piece, MGK explained to his 9.2million Instagram followers that he’d designed the piece with jeweler Stephen Webster.

‘I know tradition is one ring, but i designed it with Stephen Webster to be two: the emerald (her birth stone) and the diamond (my birth stone),’ penned the hitmaker.
He noted that the stones are ‘set on two magnetic bands of thorns that draw together as two halves of the same soul forming the obscure heart that is our love.’
Alexandra Michell Gemologist Prestige Pawnbrokers of Channel 4’s Posh Pawn told MailOnline that the unique ring is likely to retail for up to $340,000.

‘Each pear shape stone appears to be approx. 3cts on two magnetic diamond pave set bands shaped like thorns, signed Stephen Webster. This is a different choice from the traditional engagement ring style and is reminiscent of vintage Toi et Moi rings, the gem expert explained.
‘The style is favoured by other celebs including Emily Ratajkowski but dates back to fashion icon Jackie Kennedy. I would estimate this to retail for up to $340,000, being a Stephen Webster bespoke piece, with an emerald specially sourced for the ring.’
Though MGK gave the first peek at the ring, Megan was the one to announce their engagement to the world with touching footage of their proposal.
Fox noted in her post’s lengthy caption that she and the 31-year-old musician ‘drank each other’s blood’ to celebrate the occasion.

The footage shows Kelly getting down on one knee in a location special to the couple as Fox stood in shock with her hands over her mouth.
She, eventually, dropped to her knees and allowed MGK, born Colson Baker, to place the gorgeous ring on her finger. The lovebirds then wrapped their arms around one another and shared a kiss.
‘In July of 2020 we sat under this banyan tree. We asked for magic. We were oblivious to the pain we would face together in such a short, frenetic period of time,’ began Megan, who first became romantically linked to MGK in May of 2020.
She continued: ‘Unaware of the work and sacrifices the relationship would require from us but intoxicated off of the love. And the karma.

Shortly after the pair posted their respective engagement announcements, they were flooded with congratulations from several of their famous friends.

Kourtney got engaged to Machine Gun Kelly’s best pal and producer Travis Barker, 46, back in October and has since developed a close friendship with Megan.
Midnight in the Switchgrass director Randall Emmett, whose own engagement to Lala Kent recently came to an end after cheating allegations, took to Instagram to congratulate Megan and MGK.
‘Where it all began, Congrats to @meganfox @machinegunkelly so happy for you both. True love and True friends,’ captioned the 50-year-old, who included a behind-the-scenes snap of himself and the engaged duo on set of the 2021 film.
This will mark the second engagement from Megan, who was famously engaged to and later married actor Brian Austin Green in 2010.

After a decade together, the former spouses revealed in May 2020 that they’d be pulling the plug on their marriage. They share three sons, Noah, nine, Bodhi, seven, and Journey, five.
Though he’s never been married, Machine Gun Kelly is father to 12-year-old daughter Casie from his previous relationship with Emma Cannon.
Megan and MGK first met in March 2020 while working on the crime drama Midnight in the Switchgrass, which also stars Bruce Willis and Emile Hirsch.
In a now famous July 2020 appearance on Lala Kent and Randall Emmett’s podcast, Give Them Lala … With Randall, Fox recalled meeting her soon-to-be husband for the first time and how she knew right away that he was her ‘twin flame.’
