Moment Aussie teenager is jeered in public by group of men: 'WTF'

Aussie influencer Tia Kabir is jeered in public by a group of men while trying to film a TikTok video – but this is why many are defending the blokes

Australian influencer Tia Kabir has divided her followers after posting a video of herself being jeered by a group of men in the street.

While street harassment of any kind is completely unacceptable, some of Ms Kabir’s own fans argued her behaviour in the clip was also out of order.

The OnlyFans model and TikTok personality, 19, was being filmed from behind walking down busy George Street in Sydney’s CBD in a crop top and Hooters shorts.

A few seconds into the clip, she stops, hikes up the shorts to reveal her buttocks, then begins to shake her bottom while glancing back at the camera.

A handful of men behind her start to cheer and laugh and one appears to shout ‘Yeeeaaaah!’ in response to Ms Kabir’s suggestive dancing.

The men’s reaction was captured on camera by the person filming Ms Kabir.

The young woman at first seems alarmed by the cheers and swiftly readjusts her shorts to look less revealing while saying, ‘What the f***.’

The man filming the video laughs, ‘Look at these f***ing guys,’ while panning the camera towards them, as Ms Kabir walks on.

Despite her initial shock, Ms Kabir seemed to find the interaction funny, later posting the clip on her Instagram alongside the caption, ‘Your dad said hi to me.’

Many of her followers sided with the men in the video, saying their reaction was hardly surprising given she was filming a suggestive act in a public street.

‘[What] did you expect?’ one commented along with a crying-with-laughter emoji.

‘She can’t be serious? You’re somehow bothered and shocked?’ another wrote, while a third added: ‘How [is] she even shocked?’

Another asked ‘what kind of reaction’ she thought she would get.

This isn’t the first time Ms Kabir has made headlines.

Back in May, her account of her ‘Bali tattoo gone wrong’ went viral after she claimed the artist had inked the wrong mantra on her arm.

This isn’t the first time Ms Kabir has made headlines. In May, her account of her ‘Bali tattoo gone wrong’ went viral after she claimed the artist had inked the wrong mantra on her arm

At the time, Ms Kabir told FEMAIL she wanted ‘Angel Energy’ on her arm to represent the hardship she’d been through in her life. She also insisted the situation was ‘real’ after many TikTok commenters accused her of faking the whole thing when her video went viral

Fighting back tears, she said in a TikTok clip: ‘It’s supposed to say “angel energy”, now it just says “energy angel”!’

At the time, Ms Kabir told FEMAIL she wanted ‘Angel Energy’ on her arm to represent the hardship she’d been through in her life.

She said that after seeing the end result, she ‘instantly broke down in tears’ and the staff at the tattoo parlour apologised for the mistake.

The tattoo cost her about 1.35 million Indonesian Rupiah – or $150 AUD – but she did not receive a refund.

Instead, the artist managed to modify the text and it now reads, ‘Energy of an Angel’.
