Lauren Goodger has revealed her excitement at the news she’s having another little girl – a baby sister for her daughter Larose.
The 35 year old has announced that she’s pregnant with her second child in an exclusive interview and shoot with new magazine, six months after welcoming her first born in a dramatic home birth.
The former The Only Way is Essex star, who is now sixteen weeks pregnant after conceiving her second child with currently estranged partner Charles Drury, is over the moon that she’ll have two little girls under one.
However, she admitted it was a shock as she was initially convinced she was having a boy.
Recalling her scans to determine the sex of the baby, Lauren explained: “I had the hospital scan in December and that was a shock because it was actually a baby.”
“I felt connected. With Larose I had loads of private ones, but now with the second one you trust your body.”
“I take my vitamins and I’m healthy, but I’ve had three scans [including the private gender scan] and it was lovely.”
Opening up about why she was adamant she was carrying a boy, Lauren said one of her scans looked identical to ex-boyfriend Charles, who she split from in November.
Lauren continued: “I really thought it was a boy because of how I’m carrying and the bone structure on the first scan – it just looked like Charlie.”
“It’s a smaller bump. It popped out straight away when I had Larose and that’s why I thought this baby was a boy, because I’ve heard you carry smaller with boys.”
So when the nurses revealed the news that Larose would soon have a little baby sister, Lauren couldn’t believe it.
Reliving the exciting moment, Lauren said: “I was like, ‘Oh my God – she’s going to have a little sister.’”
Touching on the close age difference and how this will be a huge blessing, Lauren added: “They’ll be really close, they can play and she’ll have all her old stuff. But I would have been happy with either.”

Lauren also revealed that she and Charles, who recently admitted to a fling with another woman during a break in their relationship, will continue to co-parent their daughters as she admitted she doesn’t know “what the future holds.”
She explained: “No matter what happens he’ll always be around and always be in their life. We’ve got a lot to sort out because I don’t know if we’ll make set days or what.”
“I’m being strong and getting on with it. I’m excited about having another baby and if I’m a single mum then great. I’ll raise two kids on my own and it’ll be rewarding.”
