They’ve been dating for less than a year, but sources say wedding bells are chiming for Rita Ora and her filmmaker boyfriend Taika Waititi.
The British singer, 31, travelled to Australia with the Thor director, 46, last month, and insiders say she is now hoping to receive an engagement ring for Christmas.
‘Rita and Taika are head over heels,’ a source told The Sun on Monday.

‘From what she says, he’s “the one” for her. None of her mates would be surprised if he popped the question soon,’ the insider added.
Rita’s parents, Besnik and Vera Sahatçiu, have reportedly already given Taika their blessing to marry their daughter after meeting him in London.
‘Some people might see that as quite quick but they’ve barely spent a day apart since they got together,’ the source said, calling Taika a ‘grounding yet fun’ presence in Rita’s life.

Rita recently arrived in Australia with Taika to film the 2022 season of The Voice.
Her Kiwi boyfriend is also rumoured to be working on several upcoming films during his time Down Under, including Thor: Love and Thunder, which is in post-production.
Rita met the Oscar-winning screenwriter in Australia in February while she was shooting this year’s season of The Voice.

A source told The Sun the duo started dating ‘secretly’ in early March, three months before she left Australia for Los Angeles in early June.
‘All their friends know about the relationship – they’re really into each other,’ the insider said at the time.
The couple made their red carpet debut at the LA premiere of The Suicide Squad on August 2.

Days later, a source told New Idea the pair were already discussing marriage.
‘Taika calls Rita “wifey” all the time and chats about how he’s going to be her first and last husband,’ the spy said at the time.
‘Everyone around them downplays it as flirty banter, but [Rita is] definitely hoping he’s for real,’ they added.

Rita has reportedly started joking about getting married in a ‘quick, hippy-dippy’ Californian ceremony, and then celebrating with a bigger party at a later date.
Taika was previously married to film producer Chelsea Winstanley, but the pair are believed to have quietly split in 2018.
The pair share two daughters, Te Hinekāhu and Matewa Kiritapu.
