But Rob Lowe was still every inch the Hollywood heartthrob when he was spotted swinging by the beach in Santa Barbara this week.
The sizzling sensation was dripping wet as he rose shirtless from the ocean wearing a pair of clinging swim trunks.

He was accompanied by one of the two sons – Matthew, 28, and John, 26 – he shares with his wife of three decades Sheryl Berkoff.
The smoldering Parks And Recreation alum flashed the flesh while strutting his stuff across the sand during his latest beach day.
Last month he revealed that he rang in his 57th birthday on the set of his cop show 9-1-1: Lone Star which began airing its second season in January.
Ryan Murphy co-created the show with his dashing longtime writing partner Brad Falchuk and Tim Minear who writes on their show American Horror Story.

Last year Brad’s wife Gwyneth Paltrow – who is a longtime pal of Rob’s – revealed that she learned about oral sex from Sheryl.
She dropped the bombshell in July while appearing on Rob’s podcast Literally! which he launched only this past summer.
Sheryl was the makeup artist for Gwyneth’s mother Blythe Danner on a TV movie when she first met young teenage Gwyneth.

‘I met Sheryl and I was, like, immediately obsessed with her,’ said Gwyneth.’ First of all, she was dating Keanu Reeves, who was my celebrity crush. And she was so cool.’
The Shakespeare In Love Oscar-winner gossiped: ‘She knew that I was sneaking cigarettes, and she would come smoke with me behind the trailer. And she taught me how to give a b******, and you know, all the classic Sheryl stuff.’
Gwyneth revealed that ‘I just worshipped her. I thought she was literally the coolest chick of all time. And she was so awesome to me!’
