No Mr. Bond, I expect you to buy! Sir Roger Moore’s sons Geoffrey and Christian join producer Barbara Broccoli at auction as actor’s personal collection of 007 memorabilia goes under the hammer
The family of former James Bond star Sir Roger Moore gathered at Bonhams auction house on Monday evening as the late actor’s personal collection of memorabilia from the iconic franchise prepared to go under the hammer.
Moore, who passed away aged 89 in 2017, played womanising secret agent Bond seven times between 1973 and 1985 – a record that is yet to be beat.
And he accrued an impressive collection of highly sought-after mementoes from his time on set, including the tuxedo he wore while scaling the Eiffel Tower – aged 58 – in A View To A Kill, his final outing as 007.
The collection of more than 180 possessions is now up for sale, and has been given an overall estimate of £420,000.
Attending the event on Monday evening, Moore’s actor sons Geoffrey and Christian were joined by an assortment of extended family members, as well as legendary Bond producer Barbara Broccoli.
