Stacey Solomon creating man cave for Joe Swash for his milestone 40th birthday

Stacey Solomon has vowed to create Joe Swash a man cave for his upcoming birthday, after forgetting her husband-to-be’s special day last year.

Joe turns 40 at the end of the month, giving Stacey, 32, a very tight window to stick to her promise of creating him his own space at their famous Pickle Cottage.

With this in mind, Stacey took to Instagram to ask her 4.9 million followers of their advice on what she should include in the “cave”.

Speaking to the camera while Joe was in the background, Stacey said: “Guess who turns 40 at the end of the month? This guy.”

“Joe has always wanted a man cave, which is my worst nightmare, but I promised him for his 40th I’d try to make him a man cave out of the Cluedo room.

“I’ve now got two weeks left after my first day back after maternity (leave), and I’m struggling.”

Joe then chimed in and offered the suggestions of pool tables and dart boards being in the room.

“Don’t get ahead of yourself with the pool tables and dart boards,” Stacey quipped in response. “Who do you think I am? A magician?”

In the caption for one of the stories, Stacey admitted that she forgot Joe’s birthday last year.

The mum-of-four wrote: "I forgot his birthday last year so I feel like the pressure is on this year. I need ideas and help! It's had the floors down and we've started painting it in there but what on earth do I do in there?!"

Stacey added that her “brain isn’t functioning” as a result of her being in her “baby bubble” with newborn daughter, Rose.

The I’m A Celeb winner has since made a start on what she describes as the “Cluedo room” and shared a video of her spray painting some of the units grey.

Explaining her thought process, Stacey wrote: “So I decided to get the units sprayed in the Cluedo room because they’re beautiful units so (I’d) rather jazz them up than change them and hand painting would have took me forever”.

She went on to explain that she borrowed the spray painter from a local decorator, and is now thinking about investing in the equipment herself for future projects as it has “changed (her) painting life”.
