Strictly Come Dancing star AJ Odudu has previously admitted to having trust issues after being cheated on by three ex-boyfriends in the past.
But her professional partner Kai Widdrington, who shared a steamy near-kiss with AJ during a dance routine on the show, could be the one to change that, pals tell new!.
“AJ has been open about her relationship history. She does find it hard to trust after previous partners cheated on her. But Kai is a really nice guy,” a source said. “He’s helping her get over any previous issues. So far, he’s ticking all of the boxes.”
Last week, it was reported that AJ, 33, and Kai, 26, are officially dating after weeks of romance rumours.
Coyly discussing the speculation on spin-off show It Takes Two after a sizzling Argentine Tango, Kai said: “If people want to think that, then great… but we were just doing our job, and AJ did a great job.”
The source confirmed: “It’s early days, but they definitely make a good couple.
"They have a really special bond. It’s not like either of them had partners already, so they’re not doing any harm.”
There’s no denying that the pair have a unique chemistry on the dance floor – and it continues away from the studio, too.
“Out of all of the contestants, AJ is probably the busiest work-wise. But she and Kai have just really hit it off,” continued the source.
