Tom Hollander carries off his new role as a first-time dad… but it’s hungry work for the actor as he juggles his lunchtime routine with baby strapped to his chest
Never mind the night feeds, Tom Hollander has already managed to juggle the lunchtime routine just weeks after becoming a dad for the first time at the age of 56.
The actor is seen here appearing to take fatherhood in his stride as he steps out with his newborn for a coffee and pastry.
Hollander – star of The White Lotus and The Night Manager – carried his bundle of joy on his chest as he walked through his neighbourhood in Notting Hill, London, last week.
He later tucked into a pastry while his baby slept soundly in an Ergo Baby carrier, which is worth just under £100.
Mr Hollander welcomed his newborn in recent weeks with long-term girlfriend, interior designer Fran Hickman, after the pair rekindled their on-off relationship in lockdown.

The Mail on Sunday revealed in August that Mr Hollander was ‘beyond thrilled’ to be expecting a baby with Fran, who he was previously engaged to, but the couple called it off in 2010.
Dressed in a white shirt and dark brown trousers the stage and screen actor looked at ease with his new responsibilities as a father.
His baby’s bare feet dangled from either side of the carrier as the two bonded together on their stroll.
Mr Hollander and Ms Hickman got back together during the pandemic, where friends said she moved into his £2million flat and ‘never left.’
The couple were last seen together in early August when Ms Hickman was heavily pregnant, and they shared a loving embrace while out at lunch.
Mr Hollander, who has branded himself a ‘lazy actor’ in the past, had previously spoken about wanting children.
In a 2011 interview, he admitted: ‘I’d love to be a dad, it’s just that I’ve not managed to sort it out.’

Asked whether he was keen to settle down, he added: ‘Yes, of course. And I do occasionally think, ‘How have I managed not to settle down when I came from such a settled-down family?’
