She’s the French singer who soared to international fame when she was just 14 years old when her song Joe le taxi shot to the top of the charts.  

And Vanessa Paradis was in her element on Friday as she took centre stage to perform at the 36th Victoires De La Musique award ceremony at La Seine Musicale in Boulogne-Billancourt, France.

The music star, 48, caught the eye in a dazzling purple tweed trouser suit and matching skirt by Chanel as she entertained those at the event.

Vanessa’s striking outfit consisted of a tailored, collarless jacket and flared trousers, complete with an A-line skirt with slits over the top. 

The actress kept her caramel tresses loose for the occasion, while she enhanced her features with a palette of dewy make-up. 

Vanessa was in good company at the event as she was also joined on stage by singer-songwriter Etienne Daho.

The duo were then joined by Eddy de Pretto and Thomas Dutronc as they pulled off a moving tribute to Jane Birkin, who received an honor award on the night. 

The group were later joined on stage by Jane’s daughter Lou Doillon, who honoured her mother’s achievements at the awards.

While actress, singer and model Jane herself then joined everyone on stage to accept her honour award (Victoire d’honneur).

Once again, the former partner of Johnny Depp stood out from the crowd with her stunning tweed co-ord. 

The Victoires De La Musique is the French equivalent of the Grammys and recognises the incredible achievements of those in the music industry. 

And it was a great night for all, with winners including Pomme for Female Artist of the Year, while Benjamin Biolay was a double winner, scooping Male Artist of the Year and Album of the Year.

It was also a big night for breaktrough artists Yseult and Hervé who won Female Revelation of the Year and Male Revelation of the Year respectfully. 

The star-studded bash also saw the likes of French singer Jean Louis Aubert perform, with a plethora of dancers surrounding him. 

While singer Yseult, who won Female Revelation of the Year, left little to the imagination as she took to the stage to perform.
