How to Watch the 2018 Met Gala From the Comfort of Your Couch

The Met Gala is the biggest fashion event of the year—and it’s so exclusive, even celebrities struggle to get an invite. But for regular folks, there’s still a chance to check out the amazing fashion on display, through your TV or computer. The gala itself will not be televised, but the red carpet will be, so you’ll be able to gawk at the over-the-top styles at the same time as the rest of the guests.

E! will broadcast a Live From the Red Carpet special Monday night, anchored by Giuliana Rancic, stylist Brad Goreski, journalist Elaine Welteroth and fashion expert Zanna Roberts Rassi and featuring interviews by correspondent Zuri Hall. You can tune in beginning at 6:30 p.m. Eastern and Pacific, or check it out a half hour beforehand for a special E! News broadcast dedicated to the gala.

The network will also stream the red carpet on Facebook Live, E! Online, the E! app, Apple News and YouTube starting at 6:30 p.m Eastern, 3:30 p.m. Pacific. That broadcast will be anchored by Paper magazine’s Drew Elliott and fashion expert Tiffany Reid.

If you’d rather just follow along on social, keep in mind that the Met Gala has a strict policy against social media. But that has never really stopped stars from posting tons of selfies on Met Gala day, from getting ready through to the afterparties.

This year’s Met Gala theme is “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination,” which takes a look at the influence of Catholicism in fashion. The cohosts of the gala this year are Rihanna, Amal Clooney and Donatella Versace, so get ready for some head-turning, and possibly controversial, looks on the red carpet.
