Christina Aguilera fans are left confused over the star’s micro ‘handbag skirt’

We’re no strangers to the world of over-the-top, impractical fashion, and it seems designers are pulling out all the stops when it comes to making mind-bending clothes right now.

FromChristian Cowen’s Teletubbies boots, to thebizarre yellow Crocs bootsspotted on Victoria Beckham recently, we definitely seem to be entering into the era of larger than life fashion.

The latest celeb to blow our minds isChristina Aguilera, who just shared a snap of herself wearing a rhinestone handbag. As a skirt.

Ok, it might not technically be a fully functioning handbag, but the pink crystal-covered mini skirt has been designed to look just like a luxury bag, complete with handles at the waist.

The skirt, which comes from Berlin-based brand Namilia, has been designed to look like an Hermès Birkin, complete with top handles, pockets, and even a bedazzled tag.

Although Christina, also known as Xtina, is no stranger to a bold look – let's not forget the leather chaps she wore in the music video Dirrrty, or the oversized Viktor & Rolf gown she wore to Paris Fashion Week – but her latest fashion choice has got her fans completely baffled.

One fan wrote: “A regular skirt wasn’t satisfying enough, that’s why,” whilst another asked: “Are the pockets functional though?”

However, despite their confusion at the look, Xtina’s followers couldn’t get enough of the singer, calling her “beautiful” and “ageless”, with another commenting onNamilia’s Instagram pagesaying “This skirt and Xtina together just make sense”.

If you wouldn’t even know where to start with styling a statement piece like this, take a leaf out of Christina’s book, who paired it with a simple black T-shirt and clear perspex heels, which let the micro bag skirt shine.

The brand has previously been worn by celebs includingParis Hilton,Gigi Hadidand Cardi B, with Xtina’s skirt being one of the stand-out pieces from Namilia’s spring/summer 2024 runway collection.

If you were hoping to snap up the skirt for yourself, you’re out of luck as it’s not on the brand’s website just yet, and we have yet to find a perfect dupe – shocking, we know.

However, we’ve found several other pink glittering micro skirts that can give you a similar look while you wait for Namilia’s handbag mini to drop.
