“Coming 2 America,” the highly anticipated sequel to 1988’s “Coming to America” starring Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall, has dropped a day early on Amazon Prime.

The film was originally supposed to drop on the streaming service at midnight on Friday, but fans can now watch it starting Thursday.

The sequel is set in the fictional African country of Zamunda, where Prince Akeem (Murphy) was recently crowned the king.

He finds out he has a son he never knew about — a young man named Lavelle, whose mother is Mary Junson, played by “SNL” alum Leslie Jones.

Akeem and his best friend, Semmi (Hall), then embark on another adventure to America in search of his long lost son.

They end up in Queens, New York, where the pair had traveled to more than 30 years ago to find Akeem a wife.

Paramount Pictures was supposed to release the film in theaters, but its distribution rights were sold to Amazon Studios because of the pandemic.
