Gia Giudice said she was “completely disgusted” by Jackie Goldschneider’s “coke” comment in the Season 11 premiere of the “Real Housewives New Jersey.”
Addressing the ordeal in a sneak peek of her upcoming “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” episode, Teresa Giudice’s eldest daughter said the 44-year-old housewife’s drug “analogy” caused her so much trouble at school she confronted her about it.
“I honestly reached out to her,” Gia explained in the clip of the episode, which will air Sunday, May 9.
“I had complaints from my sorority, I was almost put in a meeting because they wanted to make sure I was OK, like, I dealt with a lot of things because of this analogy, and I made her very aware of that, and then following that, she did apologize.
“And then she did her Twitter apology, which I did … I thought it was alright,” the 20-year-old continued. “It wasn’t anything too crazy.”
Earlier this season, Goldschneider had confronted Teresa, 48, after she had accused Goldschneider’s husband Evan of cheating. To explain how hurt she was by the comments, Goldschneider said it would be as if she repeated a false rumor that “Gia snorts coke in the bathroom at parties.”
Goldschneider later took to Twitter to elaborate on the remark.
“My analogy about Gia was simply an analogy – there was no truth to it of course. The rest of the cast understood this, which you’ll see in the coming weeks. The behavior at my husband’s birthday party is truly unfortunate – destroying a marriage and family is not entertainment,” she tweeted at the time.
In March, Goldschneider said the analogy was never intended to hurt anyone.
“She’s a great girl, so it was just an analogy and I never wanted to hurt anybody,” Goldschneider said on “Watch What Happens Live.”
Gia, who has been part of the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” since its inception in 2009, said she was initially stunned about being thrown into the on-screen drama.
“I was, like, completely disgusted by it,” Gia said. “I never thought my name would be brought up, and especially being on the show for so long, no ‘Housewife’ has ever disrespected me and for one person to ever use my name in a poor manner, I was like, in shock.”
Gia will likely spill more “Real Housewives” tea next month when she appears on a special edition of “Watch What Happens Live” that will also feature the children of other Bravo fan-favorites.
