In a committed relationship, there are a few things you simply have to do without question.
That obviously includes picking up and dropping off your other half no matter what the time is in the night.
But according to one woman, when she asked her partner to collect her from a night out, he added a simple charge at the end.
She revealed how her boyfriend held out his hand at the end of the trip so she could pass her some cash as an "Uber fee".
Posting on Reddit, the female moaned about her other half after he offered her a lift as she was hesitant to take a cab at night.
The woman was "relieved" and thankful that her man offered to step in so she agreed to cover the cost of petrol.
But the 30-minute car trip cost her no less than what the Uber trip would have been so her boyfriend is insisting she pays up.
She said: "It is £20 (approx. $37) to get an Uber home. I used the app often enough that I get regular discounts up to 30%.
"My boyfriend offered to pick me up from work after I told him the price of the Uber sometimes. He got us home."
After insisting she pay something, she agreed the cost of petrol, but that didn't go down well with her boyfriend.
She added: "He said I'd have to give him £20 because he went out of his way to get me and I would have given it to the Uber."
Unsurprisingly the demand stunned the woman and the situation went from bad to worse.
She continued: "He insists that it makes no sense for me not to pay him what I'd would give to the Uber driver.
"I told him that's different because he's my boyfriend and an Uber driver is a service."
When the woman posted it on Reddit, as you can imagine, it didn't go down well with others.

Many urged the woman to break-up with her man, as one wrote: "Pay him the bloody money and then dump his a**."
Another added: "Your boyfriend heard you vent about Uber prices and his takeaway is 'Wait, I could be the one to profit here'."
She later revealed how her man saw the post and read the comments.
The woman concluded: "He apologised. This isn't something he usually does and was out of character."
