A young woman had to visit the hospital to get Gorilla Glue removed from her hair.

She had decided to use the product after running out of hairspray.

Tessica Brown checked herself into the St Bernard Parish Hospital in Louisiana after attempting to remove the product herself for a month.

She had tried to break the glue down using coconut oil and tea tree oil, but was unsuccessful.

Tessica uploaded a video to TikTok explaining what happened and applying something to her hair which she received from the doctors.

The young woman claimed that she cannot wash out the glue and her hair is so tight to her scalp that she can’t even shave her head.

She explained: “When I do my hair, I like to finish it off with a little Göt2b Glued Spray, you know, just to keep it in place.

"Well, I didn't have any more Göt2b Glued Spray, so I used this: Gorilla Glue spray.

“Bad, bad, bad idea.

“My hair, it don't move.

“You hear what I'm telling you? It. Don't. Move."

Gorilla Glue shared some advice with TMZ, and said: "The less aggressive solvent for her hair/scalp would be rubbing alcohol to try and saturate her hair and then gently comb it out and shampoo."

The company added that as Tessica’s hair has been stuck for so long it is probably “fractured at the root” and that staff “hope for the best” for her.

In her first video, which has racked up a whopping 15m views, Tessica added: "Hey, y'all. For those of you that know me know that my hair has been like this for about a month now.

“It's not by choice.

“No, it's not by choice."

When patting her hair it becomes clear that the TikTok creator has been left with a helmet-like cap made of hair and glue.

In a follow up clip, Tessica showed people what happens if she shampoos her hair.

She said: “Look, you wipe it off and nothing happens.

“Like, this is the life that I'm living at this point."

What a nightmare!
