Zendaya has proven over the years that she can pull off just about any hair colour under the sun, having sported everything from blonde and brunette to pink hair in The Greatest Showman.
Much to her fans’ dismay, the star missed Monday night’s Met Gala as she is currently filming her upcoming film Challengers alongside The Crown star Josh O’Connor. But news of her latest beauty makeover may just cheer them up.
In new snaps the 25 year old can be seen with thick wavy hair that’s been chopped into a really blunt bob, perfectly offset by her sharp jawline.
Considering that Zendaya is filming a movie right now, there is of course a high chance that this style is a wig – but that hasn’t stopped her fans from having a meltdown on social media about how good she looks.
“Zendaya looks so good with short hair omg” one fan tweeted alongside a couple of pictures of the star, as a second agreed, "Zendaya [with] short hair that's it that's the tweet."
Meanwhile a third fan demanded, "Zendaya cut her hair shorter?? TELL ME ITS NOT FAKE,” as a fourth quipped: "I got my hair cut way too short for my liking a few weeks ago and hated it but now Zendaya and I's hair is the same length, so now I love my hair."
Whether it’s real or fake, this is a move away from the reddish, multidimensional shade that Zendaya has been working for most of the year so far – somewhere between the copper hair trend and a look that experts have dubbed cinnamon spice hair.
“It’s a rich and luxe colour that can range from red tones to warm coppers and luxurious caramels,” Jason Collier, celebrity hairdresser and Jerome Russell brand educator, said of the latter style.
“There are so many ways to embrace this type of colour; you can go bold with a full-head of colour, or make it more subtle by balayaging just the ends a cinnamon spice shade.”
Only time will tell what Zendaya will do with her hair next, but we can already guarantee she’ll look stunning however she changes it up.
