Danny Dyer jokes that West Ham song about Jarrod Bowen ‘s*******’ his daughter is a ‘bit of romance’ after viral chant AGAIN breaks out amid Europa Conference League celebrations
- Danny Dyer has no problem with the viral West Ham chant about his daughter
- Hammers players were singing about Jarrod Bowen’s relationship with Dani Dyer
- But Danny admitted he believes the crude song represents ‘a bit of romance’
Danny Dyer has joked that he finds ‘a bit of romance’ in West Ham’s chant about Jarrod Bowen and his daughter Dani Dyer.
Bowen scored the winning goal in West Ham’s Europa Conference League victory over Fiorentina in Prague on Wednesday evening to hand Dyer’s beloved Hammers a first trophy in over 40 years.
A popular chant that was first aired after West Ham’s semi-final victory in the competition was again demonstrated by players and staff at the team hotel in the Czech capital as celebrations got underway.
The lyrics sang to the 90s dance classic ‘Freed from Desire’ by Gala go ‘Bowen’s on fire and he’s s******* Dani Dyer.’
But football-mad Danny doesn’t appear to mind the singalong and admitted he thinks the light-hearted humour should be viewed as a ‘compliment’ to his daughter.

‘I think there’s a bit of romance in it. Think about it, it’s a compliment,’ Dyer told DR Sports.
‘They are saying Bowen is on fire, which is unreal and he’s also s******* Dani Dyer.
‘So if you think about it, they’re saying it can’t get any better so there’s a compliment in there.
‘Listen sometimes I’ll start the song off over West Ham I’m not even going to lie,’ he added.
Bowen was the hero of the Dyer household after scoring in the 90th minute to hand West Ham Europa Conference League victory.
Dyer himself will be hoping to emulate similar goalscoring success when he represents England in Sunday’s Soccer Aid match at Old Trafford.
