    A girl has reportedly been stabbed "in the neck" on her way to school.

    Police and paramedics are surrounding a bus in Croydon, south east London, following the alleged horrific incident this morning.

    Wellesley Road northbound from Whitgift Centre to St Michael's Road has been closed as a result of the investigation.

    Several clips of the scene have been shared on X/ Twitter, with one user captioning them: "Croydon little girl has been stabbed in the neck on the school run bus."

    London's Metropolitan Police are yet to comment on the situation.
