London: The Duke of York has returned to Balmoral Castle as attempts to serve him legal papers over sex allegations continue.
Prince Andrew, 61, who has not been seen in public for several weeks, travelled 500 miles (800 km) from his home in Windsor to the Queen’s Scottish estate on Tuesday.

Efforts began last month to present him with a copy of a civil lawsuit in which Virginia Roberts Giuffre alleges rape “in the first degree” and sexual assault. All of which Prince Andrew denies.
He has so far avoided repeated attempts to hand him the lawsuit. The visit to the Queen, his second this summer, was planned some time ago, it is understood.
David Boies, Giuffre’s lawyer, has accused the Duke’s legal team of “stonewalling” and made clear that wherever he is, they will find him and get someone there with the paperwork.
Prince Andrew’s latest travels come as the Royal family is expected to reunite to honour the late Prince Philip.

The BBC programme, originally commissioned to celebrate the Duke’s 100th birthday, will see all of his children and adult grandchildren share their “personal thoughts and reflections” in what is described as “a historic tribute”.
The hour-long show, due to broadcast on BBC One, will see the family share memories of the Duke accompanied by scenes from the Queen’s private cine-film collection. Viewers will be invited into the Duke’s study, library and private office, with insights from his long-serving staff.
All of the Queen and Prince Philip’s children and adult grandchildren will be taking part in the programme, along with other members of the Royal family.
It includes the Prince Harry, who has left official royal duties but returned to Britain for Prince Philip’s funeral, previously paying tribute to his grandfather as a “master of the barbecue, legend of banter and cheeky right till the end”.
Prince Harry, who stepped down from public life over his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein, will also appear.
