Teenage boy on e-scooter dies in crash after colliding with BMW

A teenage boy has died after a crash between an e-scooter and a car in Kent.
Police were called to Coxheath, near Maidstone, just after 10pm last night following reports of the collision between the black scooter and white BMW.
The vehicles were both travelling in the same direction along Heath Road at the time of the smash. E-scooters are illegal on public roads.
The teenager was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are understood to have spoken to the driver of the car. No arrests have been made.

Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) is appealing for anyone who saw the collision or either vehicle beforehand to call its appeal line on 01622 798 538 or email [email protected] quoting HW/HM/070/23.
Anyone with dashcam footage or private CCTV taken in the area which might assist enquiries is also urged to come forward and share it here.
