‘America’s Got Talent’ Winner Michael Grimm Hospitalized and Sedated Due to Unknown Illness

In a Facebook video, the wife of the singer, who came as the winner of the show back in 2010, reveals that he has been hospitalized and sedated for the past week for an unknown illness.

AceShowbiz -“America’s Got Talent” winner Michael Grimm is facing a serious health issue. The singer, who came as the winner of the show back in 2010, has been hospitalized and sedated for the past week for an unknown illness.

In a Facebook video posted on Tuesday, June 6, Michael’s wife Lucie Zolcerova-Grimm revealed that Michael was on a ventilator until June 6 and is now in stable condition. According to Lucie, her husband was “struggling with his health” a lot in the past couple months and was lacking energy.

He was taken to the emergency room, but she said that the doctors couldn’t figure out what was wrong. “On Memorial Day, it kind of took him over,” Lucie shared. “He was looking increasingly sickly.”

Lucie went on to say that Michael wasn’t able to respond to her right away, walk well or lift his head, so she “rushed him” to the ER. “He started talking gibberish,” she recalled, adding that physical tremors were setting in.

“For the safety of his health, they had to put him on a ventilator and sedate him pretty heavily, so that he wouldn’t stroke out, so he wouldn’t flatline,” she added, noting that Michael has been in the ICU for the past week. According to Lucie, professionals ruled out a stroke, but they have not been able to figure out “what’s wrong.”

“The good news is the doctors were finally able to remove the ventilator today,” Lucie divulged. “He is breathing on his own, so he’s doing good… They do still have him sedated, so that he doesn’t seize or flatline from the fluctuating blood pressure.”

In her video, Lucie said that while Michael is very “private” about his health, she felt like she needed to let fans know about his condition because most of his shows in June have been canceled. Concluding his video, Lucie shared, “It’s a day-by-day process. He is improving, so that is good. It’s just taking time.”
