Atomic Kitten's Natasha Hamilton reveals 'unusual' name for fifth baby

Pregnant Natasha Hamilton reveals ‘unusual’ name for fifth baby… but INSISTS it’s not a nod to former band Atomic Kitten

Natasha Hamilton has revealed the unique name for her fifth baby, but insisted it’s not a nod to her former band, Atomic Kitten.

The singer, 41, is currently expecting a baby girl, the first with her husband Charles Gay.

And she has now revealed the name of the couple’s unborn daughter, quashing any association it might have with the iconic English girl band.

‘We’re going to call her Kitty Iris Gay,’ she told OK!.

‘Kitty has nothing to do with the band! My grandmother was Kitty and Charles’s grandmother was Iris and we just loved those names together.’

Just a coincidence! She has now revealed the name of the couple’s unborn daughter, quashing any association it might have with the iconic English girl band

Natasha is already a mother-of-four, sharing son Josh, 20, with her bodyguard ex Fran Cosgrave, Harry, 18, with actor Gavin Hatcher, Alfie, 12, with ex-husband Riad Erraji, and Ella, eight, with boyband star Ritchie Neville.

Natasha tied the knot with fashion director Charles, 37, in a lavish wedding at Lake Como in Italy back in 2018.

She has now credited her joyful pregnancy to being in a ‘really happy place’ with the successful fashion director.

‘Marriage has helped,’ she explained. ‘When I was younger, things were a lot more chaotic.’

It comes after Natasha revealed that she rushed to hospital last week after having some ‘strange symptoms’.

The Atomic Kitten star said she wanted to make sure both she and her unborn baby were alright.

The singer took to Instagram and shared a photo of a scan along with a message confirming she was OK.

She wrote: ‘So, after a little trip to hospital triage to make sure myself and baby were okay, as I’ve had some strange symptoms for the past week, I’ve managed to sleep in until 9.30am today.’

The hitmaker added that she has been enjoying a much better sleeping pattern in recent days after waking up most mornings at 4am.

She wrote: ‘I cannot believe I have been able to sleep so well for so long, most days I am up between 4am and 5am and wake up about four or five times in the night.

‘Last night, I was only up once.’

Natasha revealed her eldest son Josh, 20, treated her to a full English after she got home from hospital.

‘And Josh is home and just in and asked me if I want a full English breakfast, could this be any more perfect.’

Natasha captioned the post: ‘It’s amazing what a little bit of peace of mind can do.’

Other than her recent hospital scare, Natasha told the MailOnline in May that her pregnancy ‘hasn’t been difficult at all’, despite her fears it would be.

She said: ‘Touch wood… everything’s been great. Yes, I had morning sickness at the beginning and I was really tired. But I actually did think because of my age, maybe it would be a more difficult pregnancy, but it hasn’t.

‘I’m still doing all the things I would have done when I was younger. I’m managing to go to the gym sporadically.

‘I’d like to go more, actually. I’ve just started getting lots of energy now. I’m like in my 23rd week, so I am going to go back to the gym.

On the reaction from her four children when she told them of her exciting news, she explained: ‘They knew that me and Charlie have been trying for quite a while since we got married.

‘From the second we were getting married, we knew we wanted to start family and that was September 2021.

‘So they understood, to a certain extent depending on their age that it wasn’t actually happening for us.

‘We did do a round of IVF last summer, which didn’t work. So when we did tell the children, they were over the moon.’
