Roberts and Laign both got diagnosed with breast cancer and were there for each other in each of their journey’s
In 2007, the couple faced what seemed to be an insurmountable obstacle when Roberts was diagnosed with breast cancer.
Through it all, Laign stayed right by her partner’s side and found a new name for herself that Roberts’ gave her- ‘Sweet Amber’.
Roberts said: ‘It’s just the aura about her. She’s so kind. She’s just really, really kind, and it’s so genuine, you know?’ Roberts told ABC News.
Laign also got diagnosed with breast cancer in 2022 and Roberts was there with her through it all.
Two of her former colleagues, Amy Robach and TJ Holmes, were not in attendance and were reportedly not invited to the wedding. Robach and Holmes were fired from GMA in 2023 after their romantic relationship was exposed.
Robach and Holmes were married at the time of their relationship and have just recently come back together by sharing an Instagram post nine months after disappearing from the spotlight.
‘Amy and TJ are not invited, and Amy is furious about it. She and Robin were far more than work colleagues, they shared a deep friendship,’ a source told the outlet.
The source also revealed that Roberts’ ‘keeps a very tight and trusted circle of friends, and that her guest list will include people she actually wants there.’
