Iggy Azalea claims her message of female empowerment upset Saudi Arabian authorities after her raunchy concert in Riyadh was cut short by police when her pants SPLIT on stage
Iggy Azalea upset Saudi Arabian authorities on Friday night during a raunchy concert in Boulevard Riyadh City which saw the performance cut short after her pants split on stage.
However, the 33-year-old has now claimed that it was her message of female empowerment and not her wardrobe malfunction that caused police to end the concert early.
The racy rapper spent the concert twerking to her many expletive-filled hits, which she performed uncensored, when her skintight latex pants completely busted open.
Iggy sat down awkwardly on stage and tried to conceal the mishap as she called for her entourage to bring her a pair of sweatpants so that she could cover up.
Interestingly, a remix of Cher’s feminist anthem Woman’s World was playing at the time of the incident.

Somebody from Iggy’s team brought her a pair of pants so she could continue the performance and she managed to get through a few more songs before police ended the show early.
Taking to Twitter to address the incident, the star apologised to fans before claiming that her feminist messaging may have been behind the performance being pulled.
‘Saudi Arabia please know to everyone at the show tonight… I LOVE YOU!!! And I’m soooooo sorry I wasn’t allowed to finish my show,’ she posted on X (formerly Twitter).
‘It’s not the promoter who put on the show’s fault so show them kindness because they are amazing people and we all wanted to continue but were not allowed by authorities because of my pants splitting,’ she continued.

In a pair of tweets, Iggy suggested that her feminist messaging was the cause for the concert to be cut short
When a fan replied and asked, ‘They really wouldn’t let you just change pants?’, Iggy responded, ‘I did but I also said, “Ladies make some noise, it’s a woman’s world!” And apparently that sent the authorities over the edge. Lol.’
She added, ‘I’m cool I just didn’t want the fans to be sad or angry at the show organizers cause it wasn’t their control or mine it was the police at the side of stage.’
