EXCLUSIVE: Katy Perry dotes on daughter Daisy Dove as they celebrate her first birthday in Santa Barbara with grandparents in tow

Katy Perry took a break from Los Angeles this week as she headed to her hometown of Santa Barbara along the coast of Southern California for a special occasion.

The Roar singer was celebrating her daughter Daisy Dove Bloom’s first birthday on Thursday at the Santa Barbara Natural History museum.

The 36-year-old queen of quirky pop held her little girl as she was joined by parents Mary and Keith Hudson. The couple still live in the quaint tourist town where Angelenos often vacation.

Daddy is out of town: The father is her partner of five years, Lord Of The Rings star Orlando Bloom. He has been in Prague shooting a movie

Daisy’s father is Katy’s fiancé and partner of five years, Lord Of The Rings actor Orlando Bloom. He was not in Santa Barbara as he has been in Prague shooting a movie.

Perry had on a very relaxed looking maxi dress that was sleeveless with wide straps.

It buttoned down the chest and came in at the waist with a generous skirt that had a sweet scalloped ruffle at the hem. The dress had a Little House On The Prairie feel to it with a beige and brown floral print.

The Grammy winner – born Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson – had on a light beige woven bucket cap that complemented the country chic summer dress.

Katy opted for comfort with a pair of dark beige Birkenstock sandals. There was a purse in a dark color worn crossbody style for the busy, hands-on mother.

She is still happily engaged! The Play performer flashed her floral pattern engagement ring from Bloom

And the Hot N Cold crooner added black Ray-Ban sunglasses as well as a light colored mask as well as yellow gold dainty jewelry. Her necklace had a white daisy on it, a nod to her mini-me daughter.

Red lipstick added a punch of color to the face of the ex-wife of Russell Brand.

Her child had on a pink and white outfit with a white cap to keep the sun out. The little girl was both held by Katy and placed in her black stroller.

Her mother stood out in a blue outfit as her father could also been seen in dark colors and a baseball cap.

Founded in 1916 as the Museum of Comparative Oology, the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History has evolved to include more than 3.5 million specimens covering every aspect of natural history—from mammals, birds, and marine life to geology, astronomy, paleontology, and anthropology.

Newly renovated in 2018, the Museum boasts state-of-the-art interactive exhibits for all ages.

Perry – who sadly lost her close friend Angelica Cob-Baehler in 2018 – recently gushed that her ‘life began’ on the day she welcomed her daughter into the world.

The What Makes a Woman singer took to Twitter to pay tribute to her and fiancé Orlando’s little girl on her first birthday on Thursday.

She wrote: ‘1 year ago today is the day my life began… Happy first Birthday my Daisy Dove, my love.’

Daddy dearest: Her father was also seen during the outing. He had on black clothes and sneakers with a large gold medallion necklace that was on a thick chain. At this point Perry had her light colored mask on as she held Daisy

He has faith: Her father Keith is a Pentecostal preacher based in Santa Barbara. Katy has said that he was friends with psychologist Timothy Leary

Hands on daddy: Keith put his arm around his daughter who looked on to her little girl as they stood outside

The star recently admitted becoming a mother has taught her the importance of unconditional love.

She explained: ‘As a performer, I’ve always relied on the love and acceptance and validation of the outside world and that ultimately can waver at times.

‘When you have a child, you have someone who looks at you and doesn’t know anything on your resume, doesn’t know anything about your bank account, doesn’t know anything, doesn’t care, and just loves you.’

Doting on baby Daisy: Daddy Keith leaned down as he looked at the baby girl; he was wearing a red face mask

Meanwhile, back in May Katy revealed her little girl was crawling and teething.

The I Kissed A Girl hitmaker shared: ‘She’s crawling and she has one tooth. It’s barely poked through though. It’s actually kind of like one of my teeth.

‘I have pretty good teeth on the top but if you were to actually see my bottom teeth, they’re a little interesting, but I think that’s character.’

Katy also called the lockdown enforced by the COVID-19 pandemic a ‘blessing’, as it allowed her to spend more time at home with Daisy and Carnival Row star Orlando, although she is looking forward to getting back on stage with her upcoming residency Play in Las Vegas.

She said: ‘It’s been a blessing in a lot of ways to be home this past year with my daughter, but everything is about to pop off June 15th in all sorts of places, so let’s go. By December people are going to be raging.’
