Kerry Katona cries talking about past relationship with George Kay
Despite their divorce being made official two decades ago, Kerry Katona still feels saddened by the lack of friendship with her first husband, Brian McFadden.
The Big Brother star admitted she had hoped the couple could have been more “supportive” of each other following their break up.
The mother-of-four shares her two eldest children, Molly, 21, and Lilly-Sue, 20, with the Westlife singer and has now reflected on the distance in their relationship.
In her OK! Magazine column, Kerry said: “I saw that Gary Lineker recently went on holiday with his ex-wife Danielle Bux as friends – I’ve never managed to stay that close with any of my exes!
“I would have loved to have been like that with my first husband Brian and our children, to have been more supportive of each other.”

Kerry also recently said she had no regrets over giving Brian a second chance after he cheated on his stag do.
The former Atomic Kitten singer cleared up reports that she had labelled her marriage to Brian as “fake”, sharing that it was entirely genuine.
While the relationship wasn’t false, it was not smooth sailing, with Brian betraying Kerry just before their wedding day.
However, the singer chose to forgive her partner at the time.

Kerry told the aforementioned publication: “For me when I’ve been cheated on in the past, I’ve struggled to make it work because I knew I wouldn’t be able to fully trust them again.
“Saying that, I think people do make mistakes in relationships, and it’s possible to come back from it,” she added.
The two pop stars tied the knot in Ireland before a star-studded reception of 250 people including Dane Bowers and members of S Club 7.
Their lavish wedding was adorned with £6,500 worth of lilies and cost a reported £100,000 altogether.

But despite their beaming photos flogged to the glossy magazines, Brian and Kerry faced struggles behind closed doors.
Westlife star Brian later revealed he had only ever kissed one person before Kerry, and he had simply been “overwhelmed” by her love. I was very young when I met her and no one ever loved me before.
“So when Kerry came along and wanted me, that gap was filled and I felt good simply because I had someone to share everything with,” he told the Independent in 2007.
He also shared: “That stag night story started our marriage off badly and if I’m to be completely honest, the day my marriage ended was that stag night, before I even got married.
“That was the time I felt, ‘This is not supposed to be.’ That was the first crack and everyone saw it.”
