What is going on? Strictly stars were plagued with mistakes as Nigel kicked Katya and Eddie’s samba left Shirley asking why there are so many errors in Saturday nights show
Mistakes! Eddie and Karen failed to impress the judges with their samba as he made lots of footwork errors
Shocked: The first few performances left Shirley to question: ‘I don’t know what everyone had for their dinner but there’s a few mistakes going on’
Ooops: Nigel received 29 for his foxtrot after he admitted to ‘making up the steps’
‘The footwork should be better by now:’ Motsi told Eddie off after his performance
It seems nerves were getting the better of the Strictly contestants during Saturday night’s show as the celebrities were plagued with mistakes.
As Week 5 of the BBC show kicked off the judges were upping their standards as they harshly critiqued the contestants.
Things didn’t get off to a good start as Nigel Harman kicked his partner Katya Jones after he messed up his footwork and was left making up the steps.
Eddie and Karen failed to impress the judges with their samba, leaving Shirley to question: ‘I don’t know what everyone had for their dinner but there’s a few mistakes going on.’
Commenting on the harsh comments from the judges, Claudia stated: ‘Craig is very Week 5 tonight.’
Despite Nigel’s impressive salsa last Saturday, his foxtrot left the judges unimpressed as they picked up on his inaccurate footwork.
Speaking with Claudia, even the Casualty actor himself admitted: ‘I kicked Katya and then made up the steps for a bit.’
To which Katya replied: ‘I didn’t even notice the mistake, he was leading me through the dance.’
Meanwhile Eddie and Karen’s salsa left Motsi almost telling the comedian off, as she remarked: ‘The footwork should be better by now.’
They might have enjoyed his hip movement, but the technique was not enough.
Feeling very picky with their comments Craig earlier remarked that Annabel Croft’s Charleston had ‘no swivel’ as the judges commented that the nerves seemed to have got to her too.
