The REAL reason Nella Rose cancelled Lorraine after I'm A Celeb exit

‘Nella needs to process her time in the jungle’: I’m A Celeb star POSTPONES commitment to appear on Lorraine after becoming surprise second elimination from the show – as her brother flies to meet her in Australia

I’m A Celeb star Nella Rose needs time to ‘process’ her jungle experience after she postponed her commitment to appear on Lorraine following her eviction.

The influencer has been joined by her brother in Australia who flew to Brisbane to be by her side after she became the second celebrity to leave the show on Monday.

Nella’s sibling Albert, 27, landed hours after the YouTuber, 26, got the boot from Ant and Dec with sources close to the star saying she is in need of ‘rest’ and ‘recovery’ before partaking in a live television interview.

She was scheduled to speak to Lorraine on Tuesday morning’s show but was advised to ‘relax’ by those closest to her, including her management team.

It is understood that Nella will appear on Wednesday’s programme but for now her priority is to catch up with her brother, who she was emotional seeing again following weeks in the Aussie camp.

Sam Thompson’s best pal Pete Wicks and Fred Sirieix’s fiancée, known as Fruitcake, greeted Nella with applause as she arrived at the Marriott hotel on Australia’s Gold Coast

A source close to Nella told MailOnline: ‘All Nella needs right now is a day to relax and process all the happenings from her time on I’m A Celeb.

‘While she absolutely loved her experience, there has also been a lot to digest and discuss with ITV plus her team, she didn’t feel ready to be interviewed on live television by Lorraine just yet.

‘Her brother Albert arrived in Australia shortly after she was evicted from the show, and it means the world to her having him by her side.

‘It may have looked like she wasn’t met by anyone close to her as she crossed the I’m A Celeb bridge, but her brother wasn’t far away.’

Ant and Dec revealed that Nella had received the fewest number of votes from the public on Monday.

She became the second celebrity to leave camp following jockey Frankie Dettori, 52, who blamed his elimination on his lack of airtime.

Nella made a lonely departure from the I’m A Celeb jungle after no friends or family members met her as she crossed the show’s bridge.

However, those closest to the star supported her from afar, with plenty of proud messages being shared on Instagram.

The MTV presenter became the second campmate to leave the competition on Monday evening, with JSL singer Marvin Humes also in the bottom two

Nella endured eight Bushtucker Trials during her stint on the show, but her biggest challenge was living with the likes of former UKIP leader Nigel Farage and First Dates star Fred Sirieix

The YouTuber’s relationship with Fred became strained after he remarked ‘I could be your dad’ during a conversation about age, which promoted a negative reaction from Nella, who lost her father in 2020

One family member said: ‘Proud of you family, you took every trial head on, faced your fears and pushed yourself outside of your comfort zone like the true Queen of the Jungle that you are. Now hurry back we’ve all missed you.’

Several other Instagram users called Nella their ‘Queen of the Jungle’ and said that the PrettyLittleThing ambassador was a ‘winner’ in their eyes.

ITV presenter Lorraine was expecting to speak to Nella about her jungle stint during her show on Tuesday.

After following advice from her management and deciding to ‘rest’ over adhering to the TV commitment, Nella opted out of the scheduled appearance.

Clearly miffed by the last-minute snub, Lorraine said on air: ‘It’s a shame she’s not talking to anybody this morning… but anyway we’re going to be joined from Australia by Nick Pickard’s girlfriend Sarah with reaction from the friends and family.’

The presenter’s relationship with Fred became strained after he remarked ‘I could be your dad’ during a conversation about their age difference, which promoted a negative reaction from Nella, who lost her father in 2020.

While discussing Fred’s comment, Nella explained to the food connoisseur: ‘To me, I don’t care how you said it, to me, that’s disrespectful, and I don’t want to talk to you. I don’t want to talk to you, I don’t want to be around you.

Nella’s management team advised the star to ‘relax’ following her exit from the jungle, causing her to postpone her interview on ITV morning show Lorraine

‘I only allow people to disrespect me once. Don’t bring up my dead parent, are you stupid? ‘You know I could be your dad right?’ You’re a weirdo.’

Following their disagreement, Nella and Fred made amends while competing in one of the show’s challenges.

But their fallout sparked a debate among viewers, with some believing that Nella overreacted and others sympathetic for the terrible loss she has suffered.

Nella has lost both her parents, her father Paul Hollela passed away in 2020 after contracting coronavirus and her mother Eseho Omolongo died of a stroke in 2016.

She was left homeless after she and brother Albert were given just 30 days to vacate their London flat following their mother’s tragic passing.
