Whoopi Goldberg walked off the set of ABC’s The View on Tuesday after a heated debate over the viral video of Miranda Lambert slamming fans at a recent concert.
Lambert, 39, threw a fit on Sunday when members of her audience posed for selfies while she performed on stage. The country music singer said it ‘p*****’ her off and she stopped the show.
After showing the entire clip, co-host Sunny Hostin, 54, read out the prices fans paid for tickets and took the side of the concertgoers, saying that she was ‘going to take as many selfies as I want if I paid $757 for tickets. I’m sorry, just me!’
Goldberg, 67, disagreed and used Hostin’s point against her in taking the side of the country superstar.
‘You know what? Stay home. If you’re going to spend $750 to come to my concert, then give me the respect of watching me while I do my thing, or don’t come,’ Goldberg said before walking away moments later.

Hostin responded by saying she typically takes pictures at concerts in order to preserve memories.
‘Maybe I wanna play it again,’ she said. ‘Maybe I want the picture and I want the music in the background.’
Goldberg then got fed up and left her seat, telling Hostin to ‘turn on the television, girl’ before walking away to the shock of the remaining cast.
‘I’m leaving y’all!’ she exclaimed when her fellow hosts asked where the Sister Act star was going.
She then, in a cheeky attempt to prove her point, walked toward a woman in the audience and said, ‘I want to take a picture with this marvelous woman, who is 91.’
‘So, we’re going to do a selfie. Just me and you. Will you push that button?’ she asked, before taking the show into a commercial break.
Lambert left fans stunned on Sunday when she paused her concert to condemn guests for ‘taking selfies’ during her set.
A TikTok video showed the star singing her ballad when she asked the pianist to stop playing.

Lambert said to the accompanist, ‘I’m gonna stop right here for a second, I’m sorry. These girls are worried about their selfie and not listening to the song.’
The clip showed some fans walking out as one person said, ‘Let’s go — you don’t do that to fans.’
Adela Calin, one of the women scolded for the selfie, later told NBC News: ‘It felt like I was back at school with the teacher scolding me for doing something wrong and telling me to sit down back in my place.’
‘I feel like she was determined to make us look like we were young, immature, and vain. But we were just grown women in our 30s to 60s trying to take a picture,’ Calin added, noting the pictures took ’30 seconds at most.’
‘We just couldn’t get one good picture. We were so excited because I think we had the best seats in the house in the whole theater,’ she noted, sharing that she was ‘appalled’ by Lambert’s terse reaction.
