News broke out on Saturday evening that Zoe Kravitz had filed for divorce from husband Karl Glusman, on December 23, after 18-months of marriage.
Shortly thereafter, the 32-year-old Big Little Lies actress (and notable daughter of rock legend Lenny Kravitz), started to air her grievances in cryptic ways on social media, leading many to believe something catastrophic happened to prompt the split.
Posting a meme of of a drag queen throwing trash in a dumpster, the bag read, ‘People places and things that no longer serve my greatest and highest good,’ to which she wrote, ‘MOOD.’

Alluding to tossing Glusman out like trash, she continued to post a series of unrelated images that included selfies and random images including the moon, a rustic tablescape and a fireplace.
The captions all read, ‘new year. little things.’
Though the reason for their split is unknown, fans began to speculate things were on the fritz when they had seen no mention of him on her social media for months.
Her last post was a tribute on their one year anniversary as she shared a black and white wedding photo from their June 29, 2019 wedding that read, ‘one year.’

As of last night the two still followed each other on social media though as of Sunday, the Neon Demon actor unfollowed Kravitz – presumably after seeing her posts.
Though Kravitz still follows him, Glusman wiped his Instagram feed clean except for two photos – one of an extended shot of a nature walk with the caption, ‘…and as the sun sets on this eye-opening year…,’ from last week, and another from January 1 where he posted his bloody leg of him in a doctor’s office.
The caption for that image was, ‘JAN 1, 2021: 7AM — BUT IM LIKE…’
Days before the news of her separation from Karl went public, Zoe also used Instagram to bid farewell to 2020, writing: ‘bye 2020. you f**kin weirdo.’
She included a self-portrait that showed her leaning over the back of her sofa with part of her face out of frame.

The pair first met in 2016 when the High Fidelity actress was not looking for anything serious.
She revealed to British Vogue following their wedding: ‘I love that it wasn’t on an app and that it wasn’t on a movie set. My friend knew that I wanted to meet someone – not even to get serious, I think just to get laid, to be completely honest with you – and he brought Karl.’
Kravitz continued, ‘I instantly felt something – then he turned around and started talking to the blonde girl next to him and I was like, “Wait, what?” But he later told me that he was just nervous,’ recalled Zoe to the outlet at the time.
Kravitz and Glusman secretly got engaged in February 2018, revealing the news to Rolling Stone in October 2018.
‘I’m engaged! I haven’t told anyone yet — I mean, I haven’t told the world. I wanted to keep it private.’

He proposed when they were cuddling on their bed surrounded by candles, though his heart was beating so fast Kravitz grew concerned.
When he dropped down to one knee she continued to be oblivious as she told him, ‘Yes, stretch! Stretch to calm your heart down!’
The pair set a date for a lavish Parisian wedding that was held inside her dad Lenny’s three-story townhouse with Zoe’s mother Lisa Bonet, her husband Jason Momoa, and their two children, son Nakoa-Wolf and daughter Lola, in attendance.
The couple had already wed legally a month prior but chose to a celebratory wedding surrounded by famous guests including Denzel Washington, Eddie Redmayne and Cara Delevingne as well as her Big Little Lies co-stars Nicole Kidman, Laura Dern and Reese Witherspoon.
Aside from her social media posts, neither Zoe nor Karl have spoken out on the divorce matter.
