Love Island stars Lucie Donlan and Luke Mabbott have shown off their stunning garden transformation on TikTok.
Lucie, who starred in season five of the ITV show with the likes of Maura Higgins and Tommy Fury, is currently renovating the home she shares with her fiance Luke, who starred in season six of the show with Finley Tapp, Luke Trotman and Paige Turley.
The clip posted on Thursday 10th August, shows the pair sitting on their white garden chairs enjoying a cup of tea while admiring their handy work. Above the table is a row of potted plants and a pergola.
Luke posted the clip with the caption: “When you finish your project and now you get to enjoy looking at it with a cuppa.”
Luke has previously kept fans up to date on their progress with the garden project, sharing a before clip where the garden can be seen overgrown with weeds, followed by an after shot complete with a wooden shed, potted plants and an outdoor mirror. Lucie also painted some of the stone walls white, while leaving some brick on show for an authentic touch.
However, their renovation has not been without its hiccups. Lucie previously shared an emotional clip as she attempted to renovate a kitchen table using an electric sander.
“Just a couple of real clips of doing up the Cottage….” she captioned the post, which received nearly 100k likes.
The TikTok video shows Lucie clad in a blue boiler suit, black gloves and a beige baseball cap which kept her signature blonde locks neatly tucked away as she sobbed with her hands on her face.
Luke then pans the camera to show a dining table outside. “You ruined it,” he joked, which prompted Lucie to insist he “shut up.”
After a brief moment to collect herself, Lucie then got back to work and could be seen walking around the garden with a variety of tools and a beaming smile.
The couple got engaged in 2021 with Luke popping the question in a romantic proposal while watching the Northern Lights in Finland. As Luke shared the photo on his Instagram page, he wrote in the caption: "Mrs Mabbott to be" followed by a ring and heart emoji.
He added: "The northern lights made an appearance for the perfect moment to pop the question. A night we will never forget.."
Rumours the pair had struck up a romance began in June 2020. The couple later confirmed they were an item as they enjoyed a romantic getaway together in July 2020.
The Yorkshire hunk admitted that it was love at first sight when he first met Lucie, in a candid Q&A on Instagram. One fan asked Luke during an Instagram Q&A: "Did you fall in love with Lucie at first sight?"
"SURE DID," he replied, alongside a picture of himself picking up the blonde beauty on the beach.
"I remember the first time I met her I was well nervous and thought f*ck it, so as soon as I saw her I just kissed her before we even said hi," he continued, followed by a laughing face emoji.
